Day 1 – Arrival in Tokyo
Arrive in Tokyo and transfer to your hotel. The day is kept light to settle in, with a gentle neighbourhood walk and a relaxed dinner at a local izakaya or ramen counter.

Day 2 – Asakusa & Ritual Life
Explore Asakusa at a slow pace, visiting Sensō-ji and walking along Nakamise Street. Visit the Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center by Kengo Kuma, followed by a quiet walk along the Sumida River.

Day 3 – Markets, Shrines & Urban Design
Begin at Tsukiji Outer Market, then visit Meiji Shrine, a forested sanctuary within the city. Spend the afternoon walking Omotesando to view contemporary architecture, ending the day with dinner in Shibuya.

Day 4 – Tokyo to Kyoto
Travel to Kyoto by Shinkansen. Explore Higashiyama, visiting Kiyomizu-dera and strolling through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka. Evening walk through Gion, followed by a seasonal Kyoto dinner.

Day 5 – Sacred Paths & Tea Culture
Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha early, walking through the torii gates before crowds arrive. Continue to the Fushimi Sake District for a small brewery visit, then experience a traditional tea ceremony. Evening at leisure in Pontocho Alley.

Day 6 - Arashiyama & Zen Landscapes
Morning visit to Arashiyama’s bamboo grove and Tenryū-ji, known for its landscaped Zen garden. Lunch by the river, with the afternoon free for quiet exploration. Farewell dinner in Kyoto.
